Hope is beginning to overshadow the tremendous grief felt for the precious lives lost in Lahaina and for the historic town itself. The compassion shown and the contributions made to the Lahaina Ohana are proof of Maui’s place in the hearts of so many, both locally and globally. Maui remains a beacon of light that is strong and resilient.

Although it will take time to rebuild Lahaina, its spirit is very much alive in those who are fortunate to call Maui home.
